What happened to my tickets??

This issue was sent to us 10/22/1999 by P.K., zip code 53081.

I ordered a pair of airline tickets from Travelscape.com. They then e-mailed me with two confirmation numbers. I assumed the transaction went smoothly. When I recieved one ticket I phoned the company to inquire about the second ticket. They informed me that I had given bad information and they cancelled the ticket order but never informed me. When I asked them to reinstate the order, pointing out that they had erred in neglecting to follow through with a cancellation notice they refused to acknowledge any error and also refused to sell me that ticket at the same price I ordered, but asked me for an extra $150. I informed them that I could not afford this higher price. I then asked them to refund the other ariline ticket, as I couldn't use a solo ticket they again refused to acknowledge any wrong doing and refused a refund as well. I spent 2 1/2 hours on the phone with these people and was treated rudely by almost everyone I talked to. I am thoroughly disappointed in this e-commerce transaction and will be cautious about on-line ordering in the future. I believe that the service industry should focus on... SERVICE!
