I have MCI as my local and long distance carrier. I called them on October the 5th to have my telephone number disconnected. It is now January the 9th and the number still has not been disconnected. I keep getting bills in the mail and I keep calling them to complain and it just does not do any good. WOULD SOMEONE PLEASE GET MY HOME TELEPHONE NUMBER DISCONNECTED?? It would not do a bit of good to file a lawsuit because they are already going down the drain *thank goodness* Oh wait, I didn't say that. Thank you very much for forwarding this complaint to this "freakin'" company. I do have the corporate address also and I will be sending them a letter just as well. Thank you very much!

I have been a customer with MCI WorldCom since Dec 2000 till Dec 2002. During that period I was often billed incorrectly for one minute duration for long distance calls that did not get established.I can gladly remember that MCI customer service representative upon request have always credited my account for those one minute calls. I express my regret while saying this that their customer service refused to the one minute calls for my last invoice after finding out that I have terminated my service with MCI. In that past 2 years I have paid thousands of dollars for my MCI connection and now that I have terminated my service with MCI I received such a discriminated response from them. I'm writing this note with the only hope to get justice and fairness in this issue.

I am having billing problems with MCI. They are not correcting their mistakes. I got connected with MCI long-distance on 7/27/02. They promised long distance charges to India per minute is .42cents. It was billed properly upto August month.I was shocked to see my September bill for $462.11.I had a credit balance of $30.11 with them. It was charged per minute $4.83 for India. I Struggled with them to get a credit. Finally they credited $396.06.But they did not include my credit balance of $30.11 in my account. I talked to them regarding this many times no one is responding and they are behaving very rude. I disconnected my long-distance and switched to AT&T on 9/23/02.After disconnecting my long distance still I am getting a bill from MCI . I Called them again and told them I switched my long-distance , They told they can't give a credit . If you want you file a case . I don't know how to fight with them .Can you please help me to find a solution in this.

Several months ago someone gave us a card from International Teamworks and it says on the back you can get great long distance rates. We called the toll free number and signed up. After awhile when we didn't hear from them we called BellSouth phone company and asked them who was listed as our carrier and they said we had NO carrier. We assumed something happened and our service was never started. Well, yesterday we got the ugliest threatening letter from TTI National, Inc. saying we owed them $39.49 and if I did not send it they would ruin my excellent credit. I sent it off because I do not want to ruin my credit. We were told we were signing up for MCI but this is who we heard from. It had the wrong address on it so I don't know how we even got it in the fist place. They also stated they had called us repeatedly. This is certainly news to us. We have caller ID and an answering machine and we never saw them on it or ever even heard of this place. I would never do business with this place or MCI even if it was free.

This letter was written to MCI WorldCom pertaining to my dial up connection about a month ago. I gave them a month to respond and as of this date (3/24), I have yet to hear from them. Another example of their wonderful customer relations. Are you using, mci worldcom for long distance phone services, internet access, or an, mci dial-up connection?
I have since signed up with the Microsoft Network, and am very pleased with the service and customer relations. Soon after signing up with them I needed help configuring My E-mail account and was pleased to be greeted by someone who I actually could understand. They were very helpful, and with there assistance I was able to configure my system, to use the default mail program of my choice. (Since they want you to use there "Hot Mail" they don't make it easy.)If you have an mci dial-up connection, or they are your long distance phone provider through MCI WorldCom services. Be prepared for troubles with there internet access services response, and their training. As a result they have chosen to block my long distance service, until this bill is payed. I had to find this out from AT&T, who I returned to, for my long distance carrier. Never once did they inform me of this. Don't be fooled by their offer of $15.95 a month service.
If you have an mci dial-up connection, or a long distance phone provider through MCI WorldCom services. Be prepared for troubles with there internet access and their customer relations training.

This letter was written with the hopes, that it will find its way to some ones desk that actually has some understanding of customer relations. Judging by what I have witnessed, about your company, up until now, I highly doubt that this will happen.
In October of 1999, I decided that it was time to find a dial up connection service provider. I was already a member of AOL but was a bit disappointed with accessibility. (Not that your service was much better) I did some research and after spending, a considerable amount of time at your web site decided to go with your service. No where on your web site does it state that my service is limited to 150hrs. In the months to come, all was well until I received my bill, for my January through February service. On my bill was a charge of $50.66 for additional hours used (51:10). I calmly approached this situation, and went to your web site, to see if I had overlooked the fine print. No where on your web site does it state that my service is limited to 150hrs. mci dial-up connection.
The obvious next step was to call the 800 number on my bill. I was on hold for about 15 minutes; being forced to listen to some annoying classical music blasting in my ear. I did finally get to speak to someone named Luke, who told me that the information was in my start up package that had been sent to me in the mail. Since I was getting nowhere with Luke, I asked him if there was a customer relations, manager that I could speak to about the situation. Luke said, that there was a fax number he could give me, and proceeded to do so. I asked, is that all you have to give me, a fax number? He replied, and corporate headquarters mailing address. At the end of our conversation, he said that he could transfer me over to there and did so.
I was greeted at corporate headquarters, by a voice that after I had asked her six times to repeat her name, and finally had her spell it for me, understood it as Binita. Binita told me that, (from what I could understand) the information was sent to me in my start up packet, and I have had since October to cancel. Very well trained response!
So, what can an unhappy consumer do? Well we can fight fire with fire. Since you have decided to use the Internet to mislead the public and then back this up with unskilled and rude customer relation support. I feel that it is not only within my capabilities, but also my responsibility to devote a whole page to MCI WorldCom, Inc., at the web site that I am currently writing. The domain names have been purchased, and you can pretty much get the drift of the site by the domain names.
worldwideweb101.com, webpage101.com, webgraphics101.com
The site is being designed to inform unsuspecting consumers of companies like yours.

If you have an mci dial-up connection, or a long distance phone provider through WorldCom services. Be prepared for troubles with there internet access services response, and their customer relations training. The letter above outlines the troubles, I have experianced with there internet access services, response.
Now these results I can live with, not that anyone at MCI understands what this meens. Once the search engines have a chance to spider this page they will. Please follow this link if you would like to see these results for yourself: http://www.altavista.com/cgi-bin/query?pg=addurl I suppose the next step is to submit this site to 1550 search engines. I wonder if they will be worried about my $70.00 when that happens. Well I warned em, go to alta vista and run a search on MCI dial up "Top of the list BABY" oh heck lets do MCI dial up connection just for kicks. Best part of all this is, that those are the results on the page before I fixed it. Right now the search engine is picking up the title. Wait till it picks up the key words.

3/30/2000 update
Well they finally contacted me yesterday, Billing that is, when I told the person I was talking to that I was disputing the amount owed. She imediately tried to get rid of Me. When I asked: "I guess you aren't going to do anything for me either are you". She replied: "I can transfer you to customer relations". I said that would be wonderfull. After I waited for over 10 minutes I hung up.
I have spoken to a frequint visitor to my site who is an attorney. He has informed me that the longer they block my phone service the stronger the case becomes.
Many of you are aware of the family illness that my wife and I have been dealing with over the past several weeks. As a result it has certainly affected our income. As if my wife wasn't under enough stress with having to be at the hospital on a regular basis. She has had to do without making a long distance phone call for over 5 weeks now. This became a real inconveniance two weeks ago when her sister came in from Arizona so she could be with her father. Needless to say the longer this drags on the more I feel we have coming to us. $70 just isn't going to cut it anymore.
If you are using an MCI dial-up connection, for your internet access provider or phone service, and would like to support us please cancel your account and move it to a fair and honest service. I suggest Microsoft Network, I don't think you can find a company that offers more support. If you are one of those share holders that they are bragging about please write a letter, not that anyone will read it.

My wife signed up for MCI long distance service after one of their telemarketers promised the rate would be 10 cents per minute for all domestic long distance. When we got the first bill many calls had been billed at much higher rates, as much as three to four times higher. We called MCI to complain and were told the calls would be re-billed at the lower rate and a credit issued so we continued to use MCI. When we got the second bill there was no credit and calls had continued to be billed at rates far above 10 cents per minute. When we called again to complain we were told that the re-billing had been denied because supposedly the rates had been included in some literature sent to us. I responded that we had relied on their telemarketer's representations and they had to stand behind them and refused to pay the additional charges. We sent in payment for all the calls we had made at 10 cents per minute and stopped using MCI. They have continued to try and collect the overbilling and have now placed the account into collection. Don't trust MCI! Look around on the internet and you will see many other examples of their overbilling and shady practices !
If you have had any problems with this company, please file a complaint report we will add your comments to these. Conversly, you may send positive comments and they will be added as well.
