Maxicare - Poor Delivery!
name: L. S. city: 93063
problem: 01/04/2000
On September 02, 1996 I had a cesarean delivery of a son. The doctors office billed my insurance for this and it came back rejected. On September 18, 1996 The doctors office billed for 1 preventive visit, new, infant visit. This also came back rejected. On December 05, 1996 they billed my insurance again for 1 preventive visit, routine health exam, 1 o-p-v immunization, 1 d-p-t immunization, 1 hemophilus unfluenza, type B immunization and 1 hepatitis B vaccine newborn to 11 and this came back rejected. Under the Maxicare policy we have any child born to us is covered for three months under the mothers coverage. One month after my son was born we enrolled him with his own coverage. We fought this for a year. Finally my husbands union got involved and they were assured the problem was taken care of after them arguing with the company for months. One year after that we received yet another bill. They told us to send them a copy of the bills and they would take care of them. We have sent numerous copies, faxed numerous copies and they just keep asking for more. This has really messed up our credit and is causing a lot of problems. Maxicare aknowledges that there was a mistake but they will do nothing about it to fix the problem.
