On November 6, 1999, My wife Kathy and I stopped by Mattress Express inc. in Quakertown, PA to see about purchasing a bed for our guest bedroom. A gentleman helped us by the name of Andrew. Our verbal agreement was that the bed would be delivered and setup on the afternoon of November 13, 1999. To help close the sale, Andrew dropped the price by $20.00. A Check was made out and left.
On November 13 we were advised by telephone that the bed would be arriving in the morning. This forced us to leave church early (our church services are held on Saturday mornings.) At approximately 12:00 p.m., an individual arrived at our home to deliver the bed. I was working in my upstairs office. This person never gave his name. He moved the mattress and the frame to the upstairs guest bedroom and was preparing to move the box spring up. He yelled curtly from the first floor; "you gonna help me move this upstairs?" I informed him that I had paid for delivery and setup, and that I did not intend to help with work that I paid to have done. At this point the individual became very argumentative and belligerent. He dropped the bedspring in the living room and walked out of the door saying "I'd like to know what church you go to, so I know never to go there!" I asked for the name of his supervisor and was told that he was the owner and that he could do anything he wants. He got in to his truck and recklessly sped from the parking lot. Approximately 20 minutes later he called us and asked if I was ready to help him move the bed up! I informed him that I was ready for him to remove the bed from my home, as I was no longer willing to do business with his company. He became belligerent again and refused.
I have never been so humiliated and abused by some one in my own home in my entire life, and certainly will never do business with this store again!

Company delivered damaged bed,offered to replace for a $30 delivery fee,which I thought was unacceptable.Called the owner Ray,no satisfaction.He did however state"It's only $30 ,you're an idiot".Owner so rude and unprofessional,he would not even give his surname.Just for the record the mattress was delivered a week late, after guarantees it would be delivered on time.Also filed claim with Better Business Bureau.Will wait for their findings before pursuing with my Lawyer.
