question: Clearpoint Direct.Com is in no way affiliated with J.D. Marvel Products. The confusion arises because of similarities in mailing addresses. We at Clearpoint simply wish the problem with JD Marvel would go away. We receive many calls from concerned customers of JD Marvel who have not received the merchandise they have ordered. Our customer service representatives do what they can to help put the individual in touch with JD Marvel. That is all we can do. Again, there is no connection between the two companies at all.

Clearpoint takes pride in providing a high level of customer service. We do not sell merchandise unless we are sure there is enough to satisfy the current demand. Our customer service representatives are empowered to solve problems - usually with the first contact. Our phone lines are open at 888-840-9999 and we can be reached. If an item is on backorder, we notify the customer and provide an option to cancel the order if that is what the customer wishes.

J. D Marvel Co.,s ripoff continues. On July 17, 2003 I sent a $16.95 check for purchase of 2 pair of moccasins. The check was cashed on July 25 and as of this date (September 2, 2003), I have still not received the items. I've been to their web site, and as indicated by others listing complaints on this site, can't find either an email address or telephone number to use in contacting them. If this isn't resolved shortly, I'll file a complaint with the State Attorney General.

I ordered 2 cuckoo clocks from JD Marvel from an add out of our Sun.paper. That was on 03/02/03 that I sent them a check. The check has been cashed but haven't recieved them. One month ago they sent a postcard that said the clocks were being shipped and that the day of shipment was on the postcard. There was no date on the card so that didn't tell me anything and have not heard a thing since. Something should be done about them ripping people off. It isn't right and it isn't fair.

I am helping my mom out. She has ordered some items from JD Marvel. She ordered these items in January and the check was cashed in January. She has called numerous time to receive her merchandise and they keep telling her the same thing, "they will be sent out and she will have them within 12 business days"......well here it is August. So I called the other day and got the same answer. I work for the State of Iowa and will NOT hesitate to turn this into our AG Tom Miller. I was wondering if there was other Iowans out there that has had this problem. I have went to numerous websites and read MANY complaints about J D Marvel cashing the check but NOT sending out the merchandise. Well its time for something to be done with this company. I ordered from J.D.Marvel 2 pairs of slippers for $16.95 on February third. It is now August thirteenth and I have not recieved anything yet, not even a call or a letter explaining any delays. I called mid-June to complain and was informed the supplies were low. I was to be shipped something by the end of July according to the customer service rep. The catalog listed that delivery should be 6-8 weeks, it's been considerably longer.

I wrote a check for the amount of $17.90 on March 3,2003 to purchase a German Stlye Cuckoo Clock.My check was recieved and cashed by this company on March 13,2003 and I have still not recieved my clock.The check #1235. I have since wrote several complaint letters and their response back was "You'll get a check in 4-6 weeks".It's been over that time frame and I STILL have not recieved a check! I wrote the BBB in NY and they can't do anything so they referred me to the BBB in Canada and they basically responded back with nothing! Now I try to e-mail J.D.Marvel and you can't get through to them on e-mail either!The letter comes back. If there is a lawsuit against these people I definitly want involved!!The aggrivation over $17.90 is becoming well into over the thousands with my patience!!

I ORDERED 2 SUPPORT BRAS FROM J D MARVEL PRODUCTS IN MARCH 2003. THE FLYER I ORDERED FROM STATED 6-8 WEEKS FOR DELIVERY. I CALLED THEM IN MAY, AND WAS PUT ON HOLD FOR 10 MINUTES. WHEN I SEARCHED FOR A WEBSITE, I CAME ACROSS SEVERAL SITES THAT HAD COMPLAINTS LISTED FOR JD MARVEL. I WAS ABLE TO CONTACT JD MARVEL VIA E-MAIL. AND ALL I KEEP GETTING ARE NOTICES THAT MY ORDER IS ON BACKORDER AND WILL BE SHIPPED TO WAREHOUSE. I AM SICK OF THIS. THEY CASHED MY CHECK A WEEK AFTER I SENT IT. I NEVER RECEIVED ANY NOTICE THAT MY ORDER WAS BACKORDERED. I HAVE READ THAT THERE IS A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT AGAINST THIS COMPANY. IF THERE IS I WOULD LIKE BE PART OF THAT. THEY NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN. THIS IS MAIL FRAUD.

I ordered items in the beginning of March 2003, end of May 2003 was told items backordered until Late July. On May 26, 2003 I requested a refund and was told I would receive it in 3-4 weeks. End of June was told there was a problem with their refund checks going out and would receive check by end of July. July 17th 2003 received an e-mail saying my refund request was not put in in time so I would have to wait until the beginning of Aug. Now they have been using my Money for over 4 months. Amount $31.91. What can we do???

I ordered from J.D. Marvel Products Inc. the Perfect Pasta Pot. My cheque was dated March 16, 2003 and it was cashed on March 26, 2003. I called on April 25, 2003 to cancel the order as I found the same product cheaper at Zellers. I was told to expect a refund cheque by mid-June to the end of June. Today is July 9th and I have still not received the refund. I phoned customer service again today and they told me NOT TO EXPECT THE CHEQUE! The owner's name is John Dragon. I would like to get my money back as John Dragon has been earning interest on my money long enough!

I ordered some bras from J.D. Marvel on 02/05/03. I mailed them a check and the chek was cashed, but when I called about the product, I was told twice that they were on back order. The third time I called I asked for a refund and they promised that a check would be in the mail promptly. It is now 07/04/03 and I still have not received a refund or the product I ordered. After reviewing them online, I fear that I may never see my refund or product. I only wish I would have seen the reviews before I placed my order.

Well, JD Marvel Products has done it again. First they did it to my ex wife and now they've done it to me. They cashed my check on March 25,2003. It is now June 21,2003. The product ordered was a magnetic bracelet. Three months has gone by and I really don't expect even so little as an apology from this company, never mind the product that I ordered. And now, their Canadian website is no longer operating and their U.S. website has no email address. How convenient for them. And today they had the stones to send me a catalog in the mail. Thanks a lot JD Marvel, but no thanks. Catch ME once, shame on you...catch ME twice, shame on me. NOT THIS MAN!!!!!!!!

I also order 3 prs of suede slippers in December 2002. I forgot to add the shipping cost, needless to say they let me know about it in February 2003. I sent them another check for the shipping which they cashed in February 2003. Now both checks have been cashed and here it is mid-June 2003 and still NO SLIPPERS!!! I seen the remark that they received 50,000 orders each month...then they need to spend some of OUR money on more employees to get these orders filled because we are tired of waiting! Send me the slippers or give me back my money!!!!

I have been reading several websites and everyone seems to have a complaint about this company. It seems the BBB is money driven and does not really punish offenders. There are tons of complaints against them on other websites. Please help! I ordered a pair of their fleece lined soft suede leather slippers. From an advertisement in smart source in the Sunday paper. I ordered the slippers in January 2003. They sent me a letter telling me they did not receive payment for shipping and I sent them another check for the shipping. So far it is May 4, 2003 and I still have not received my slippers. There was another advertisement in todays Sunday Smart source for the same slippers I ordered. If this is not a legimate company these ads need to be stopped and something done to return money paid for items not received by customers. I tried to access their web site and found this information and no company web site. I spent at least 10.90 with the addition check I sent to them with the amount for shipping and have received nothing from them. The add says for only $6.95 plus 3.95 for shipping.

My mother ordered a pair of slippers in January that you advertised in the parade magazine. She has not received them. She mailed a letter of inquiry last month and has never received a response. When I checked your company on the internet I ran across a site that is filled with complaints regarding unfilled orders from your company. Apparently your business strategy is to collect the money and let your customers "go to hell". I am asking you to ship her order at once. We will add our names to the web site full of complaints and I will also file a complaint with the New York Attorney Generals Office.

On the 28th of October 2002, I ordered a pair of Doc Marvel suede leather moccasins size 10 at the flyer price of $12.95, enclosing personal cheque for a total of $18.81, which included tax and cost of delivery According to the bank statement the cheque was debited from my account on the 23rd of November. Even if you were waiting to find if it was a valid cheque, I would say you have had more than sufficient time by now. So why am I still waiting for those damn shoes. If I may be so rude as to ask, what is the reason for the long delay?

My son, Meredith Perkins, saw an ad in our Sunday's paper for a CooCoo clock for the price of $17.90 (cost + shipping). He wrote a check to the company advertising this item -- J.D. Marvel, Inc. He wrote the check on March 2, 2003 and it was cleared on March 13, 2003. Now I see that this company is worthless, and I'm demanding that my son's full refund should be returned. It is beyond my wildest dreams that there are people out there who are so greedy and dont' have one ounce of conscious or decentcy about themselves. He works very hard and does not need scrupulous individuals at the J.D. Marvel Inc. company to stay in existence.

On 18 Nov. 2002, I ordered Super-Mini Hearing Aid from J. D. Marvel Products via an advertisement flier in the local Sunday newspaper. My check in the amount of $22.95 cleared on 17 November 2002. Since then, I have received nothing from them, no package, nor correspondence. More than seven weeks have passed since the order was placed. It is time for delivery or full refund. I sent a written letter requesting either the product or a refund on January 4, 2003. I also asked them how long it takes for delivery; told them they wouldn’t have customers if it were going to take this long.

j.d. marvel company my order arrived ok i know this stupid company takes 2 months to deliver but had to return mens boots too small asked for larger size 12 but have not heard post office says they were delivered. have receipt to prove all i want is the boots or a refund dont think ill buy anything from them again
