question: Clearpoint Direct.Com is in no way affiliated with J.D. Marvel Products. The confusion arises because of similarities in mailing addresses. We at Clearpoint simply wish the problem with JD Marvel would go away. We receive many calls from concerned customers of JD Marvel who have not received the merchandise they have ordered. Our customer service representatives do what they can to help put the individual in touch with JD Marvel. That is all we can do. Again, there is no connection between the two companies at all.
Clearpoint takes pride in providing a high level of customer service. We do not sell merchandise unless we are sure there is enough to satisfy the current demand. Our customer service representatives are empowered to solve problems - usually with the first contact. Our phone lines are open at 888-840-9999 and we can be reached. If an item is on backorder, we notify the customer and provide an option to cancel the order if that is what the customer wishes.
Make no mistake about it - there is absolutely no connection or affiliation between Clearpoint Direct.Com and JD Marvel whatsoever.

After my 82 year old grandmother told me of being ripped off by J.D. Marvel Products, i.e. sending them a cheque which was cashed within 5 days, and not recieving a product 3 months later, I have decided to SUE J.D. Marvel Products, Inc. and others. If you are a victim and would like your money returned, please write to canadianconsumerwarr@lycos.com and you can help to put this company, that preys upon the elderly, OUT OF BUSINESS.
We will be filing for a freezing of all assets in Canada, and even US customers will recieve their due monies, plus expenses. ALSO, if you would like to know where your money is, you may call Richard Benjamin, the account representative, in Quebec Canada. He is charge of J.D. After extensive research I spoke with owner and CEO Of J.D Marvel, Mr. John Dragan , of Beaconsfield, Que. He has invited me to tour his company, their standards and their mail order practices. Also, he has assured me that if I provide him with a list of names of people, wanting refunds, he will provide the refunds immediatly !!! Please post this news so that I may gather names of parties wishing an immediate refund. I am going to hold John Dragan to his word.

I have not received the bras I sent a check for from either J.D. Marvel or ClearPoint Direct. I ordered them in August 2001 and it is now October and I have received nothing. Now when I tried to find their web page, I got the facts from this consumer complaint site . It seems that no one is getting the items they order from these companies. Thank you for your help. Please investigate and get us our orders or our money back if possible.

I ordered a set of two non-stick Donut Maker Pans for $13.70 from J.D. Marvel Products on July 28, 2001. My check was cashed on August 25, 2001. Here it is September 15, and I've yet to receive the product. I checked on the Internet for the company and came to a Web site that says they don't ship their products but cash checks that are sent to them. I'd still like my money back, or receive the donut pans. Please help.

JD Marvel never shipped the bras I ordered. I mailed them a copy of my cancelled check. They did not respond. Their phone was always busy. I reported them to the Upstate New York Better Business Bureau. They told me that the real address was in Canada, so I had to file my complaint there. http://strategis.ic.gc.ca/SSG/ct01260e.html.
I really don't get it -- these folks have been advertising for years in respectable magazines. Why do these magazines continue to accept their advertising? How do we reach the publishers of the Sunday Supplements?

I was browsing through the Sunday Daily News when I found an advertisment for a Cuckoo Clock on behalf of J.D. Marvel Products Inc. Company. There was a number on the advertisment so I decided to call and place an order for 2 clocks for the price of $39.00. The operater took all of my information including my credit card information and gave me an order number. I placed the order on April 20th, 2001. They said it would take 4-6 weeks for delivery. I waited for the period of two months and decided to call the phone number in which I placed the order. An operater answered and I gave them my order number. Shen then said something was wrong with my credit card number and they would need another number. I gave them another credit card number and they said they would ship them out immediately. Again, I waited and no sign of the merchandise. I decided to call again, this time an operater answered and said the merchandise was on back order and it would take 4-6 weeks before they recieve it and another 4-6 weeks before I recieve it. I agreed and left it as is. Today, August 22nd, 2001, I attempted calling back the number 888 414-5333, and all I continue to recieve are busy signals. It is sad that a company can be so fraudulent and get away with stealing from the consumer. I am in schock they are still out there and literally getting away with murder! It makes it difficult to trust any advertisment offered even if it is legitimet and honest. Everything after this experience makes me think twice before ordering and giving out my information.

I ordered mailing labels from JD Marvel Products back in March 2001. The cheque cleared quite promptly, but I have not received the product. I have been unable to get in touch with the company. The labels themselves did not cost that much, $13.00 Cdn, but after reading the other complaints I feel that I have been taken advantage of and would like to have my money returned to me. I don't even want the labels anymore.

I had ordered two bras from Marvel Co. on March 14,2001 along with a check for $28.83 . As of today, May 28,2001, I have not received the bras even thought the canceled check has been returned. It went through on the 23 of March. How do Companies get away with this?? Is there any way to trace this? Have tried to call but get a busy signal or it does not go through.

In all fairness to the company, I have received three notices from them but they all said the products would be sent March 1st of this year but still they have not arrived.

I emailed the company on 3/4/01 inquiring about my order and was told it was sent on 3/2/01, and to allow 10-15 working days for delivery. I waited the 15 days and still no slippers. I am waiting for a response from my latest inquiry asking them if I am a victim of mail fraud. I am beginning to think I am.

I ordered a maricle ear from JD Marvel Company on October 20, 2000 and still have not received it. Also I ordered a Vibra touch on October 28, 2000 and the same story goes. I have sent several letters and attempted many calls but the line is always busy. I sent a fax stating my complaint and it was received however, no response as of today. This company is obviously fraudulent. I have written letters to the NY State Consumer Protection Board...will mail it this week.

The J.D. Marvel company of Champlain, NY certainly needs checking by the Better Business Bureau. I ordered a musical clock, my check was cashed on Dec. 7, 2000, here it is Feb. 18 and still no clock. Unlike the other complaints I read about them, they have sent me 2 catalogs along with 2 apologies with a "new" shipping date included. Of course these dates have come and gone.

The cheque was cashed 9 November 2000, the goods have not been delivered as of 29 January 2001. I'm posting this complaint for my mother-in-law, she is in her eighties and has tried to contact this company to no evail. Very poor customer service seems to be the history of this firm. I don't recommend them.

I ordered 2 magnetic bracelets from J.D. Marvel Products Inc. and dated the cheque for October 20, 2000. They cashed the cheque on October 31, 2000 but I still have not received these items. These bracelets were Christmas presents and today is December 18, 2000.
I dialed 411 to get the phone number to this company because they do not have a 1-800 number nor do they have a phone number listed anywhere on their catalogue. I phoned at 8:30am and got an answering service saying they are not open until 9:00am. I phoned after 9:00am and throughout the entire day to listen to busy signals, ALL DAY!!!
I will never order anything else from this company because of their lack of SIMPLE customer service procedures.

Sept. 21, 2000, I ordered 3 musical instrument clocks from JD Marvel Products Inc, through an ad I saw in the Sunday paper. Finally got my clocks Dec. 4, 2000. They are cheap, come with no directions or warranty. The one I was trying first to match up the sounds with the instruments shown already stopped working. Every time I call 888-550-9811 I get put on hold for a long time, then I get a message telling me they're sorry and to try back and then they disconnect me! This is NOT a reputable company. Do NOT order anything from them. And any help I can get in getting my money back would be GREATLY appreciated!

I purchased a hearing amplifier that fits into your ear. It sais in the add that I had a 30 day return quarntee. There is no return address inccluded: No where onthe box ,papers or unit does it show where it is made: It takes replacement batteries #LR41 which I have not been able to locate on many battery web sites and 800 phone numbers.
It was charged to my Visa through Ontario, Canada. Can you locate their address or better yet where can I get replcement batteries for this unit.

Some consumers who finally got through to Marvel report that the company said they needed to send more money for the product! One customer got her money back after complaining to Canada's Competition Bureau. I want the product I ordered or my money back. Problem is: I can't find a way to talk to anyone with the company.

I placed an order online for a Long Sleeve Beefy-T Shirt #07207-LN Stonewash Blue XL for $17.95 & &1.79 Shipping for a grand total of $19.74 with JD Products (www.lowellnorman.com) on December 2, 1999 . I spoke with Lowell Norman during the week of Dec. 13th, 1999 and was assured that my order would arrive prior to Christmas. I again contacted his phone number 714-832-4938 on January 7, 2000 and left a voice mail message to which I have never received a reply. I am unable to send an e-mail because he has no e-mail address listed on his website. I have already been charged for this item via my credit card.
I have not received this item or a refund. I have received no information or response from this company.

This thing does not work. When the volume is low enough to stop feedback, there is no sound enhancement. The delivery was by U.S. mail. There was no return address. There is a post office permit number 64. The add I responded to was in the Sunday news paper supplement. Try to get the word out to others. This is a ripoff.
