What a great forum! I think it's wonderful that someone thought of putting a site like this together.

My complaint is with the insurance industry. Insurance companies have too much control and don't care about their customers. As a company that deals with insurance claims, we frequently have to fight the insurance companies to get paid on legitimate, approved claims. We file the insurance claims for our customers so that they don't have to pay us out of their own pocket. Many times, we have to wait 60, 90, 120 days or more to get paid. And it's not just us.

I have spoken to many companies and individuals that have similar complaints against the insurance industry. They do not pay legitimate claims in a timely manner.

I have even encountered people who have lost their homes or other property due to the insurance companies not paying claims on time for fire or flood damages.

I believe that legislation needs to be passed against the insurance industry to force them to pay legitimate claims within 30-45 days from receipt of the invoice. If they have a problem with a portion of the claim, they should pay the undisputed part of the claim and resolve and pay the disputed portion within a reasonable amount of time.

We have encountered some claims that took 6 MONTHS to receive payment because the insurance company had a dispute with a minor issue on the claim.

Insurance companies will cancel your policy if you are even a day late on making your payment, so how can they justify not paying claims in a timely manner?

They are hurting a lot of small businesses and individuals, and something needs to be done about it, they need to know that we, the consumers of their service, do not like the way these things are handled and that they need to change.
