Handango - Not So Jim Dandy!

HANDANGO! I ordered over $160.00 worth of software, which should have earned me 1600 points on their "Frequent Buyer Program". But...because I originally "accessed" Handango thru Handspring site (linked) they will not credit the first $143, only 17 dollars for the software I bought on a separate vist where I clicked Handango first. (so I have only 170 points). THE BEST PART IS MY ORDER CONFIRMATION EMAIL WAS FROM HANDANGO . COM!!! I think this is deliberately misleading and a rip off. They will not be FLEXIBLE AND CREDIT ME ANY OF THE POINTS. BEWARE HANDANGO!! DON'T BUY FROM HANDANGO!!

Software ordered from Handango.com Despite regular emails chasing the order and providing photogrpahic evidence of a charge by Handango to my credit card they maintain that no such order was made. To date I have no software and no refund. My last email has been ignored. For the sake of £10 it's not worth any more of my time chasing this up. Unfortunately I have been uable to source the software elsewhere.

I have also had a problems dealing with Handango, a handheld software and hardware supplier. I ordered 1 copy of Microsoft Money 2001 upgrade, but received three copies in the mail. I returned the extra two copies and have not been refunded the money yet. It has been three months since I first placed my order, and two months since I returned the software to them. It took me one week to obtain an RMA #. I have spoken with two representatives of their Customer Service Dept. without recourse. I have also sent several emails via their "contact us" page, all to no avail. I fear I have been had. Their scam is that they send you more than what you have ordered, charge you for the extra and refuse to refund you. Search for "Handango" in any search engine and you will find several mentions of the same situation. That is how I found this site, mentioning someone else's very same complaint. Beware, if you do business with Handango!

For a week now I have been attempting to get a Return Merchandise Authorization Number (RMA#) from Handango.com for a GPS receiver I purchased. The Merchandise arrived on June 13, 2000. Since then I have sent 4 e-mails and made two phone calls with one voice mail on a machine. No one has returned my e-mails or my phone calls. I only have 30 days to return this product per Handango's return policy.

My complaint is that in the information age, it should not take this long and I should be able to get a response with in a week..
