Alstate Insurence, is guilty of fraud! They sell Life Insurence, Then bilk widows of half the money. They look for low income households like my mother's. they solicited her on the phone(which is against policy), sold her a Life Insurence Policy for her Husband that she faithfully kept up to date. But when he died they put half the money in a bank, gave her a checkbook on which she can write checks only if they are for more then $250, and if she touches that money, she's basically saying that she accepts what they gave her as the whole amount.

Of course they know her husband was her sole form of support, so they know she's strapped for cash. She can't file for wellfare, because she has money in the bank, but if she accepts what they gave her; it won't be enough to support her for more than two years. She hired a lawer, but she probably can't hold out as long as Alstate can.
